23c Gold Initial with Forget-me-nots

Letter ‘A’ in fine 23c gold leaf handpainted with forget-me nots on high quality watercolor paper within a double ivory mount.

Gilded and painted this letter to give to a good friend I hadn’t seen in a long time, before the pandemic swept in. She loves the colour blue so the Forget-me-not was perfect.

The initial itself was 50 x 50mm on 300gsm watercolour paper within a 120 x 120mm double mount with a 3mm green slip.
